How it all started...
As a child, Juan Ramos was severely bullied in middle & high school, as a result he set out to open a safe space for students and young adults to call HOME. With no plan or finances and nothing but faith the R3 Student Outreach Center opened in the summer of 2019.
Through the span of one year the R3 team provided student resources including tutoring, mentorship, small meals and tangible goods to help many youth in the San Antonio area. Many partnerships where formed and are still in affect to help provide as much help to the community as possible.
Expanding the vision...
For many months the planning of a program that would hug the families of the students we served was in motion but in 2020 the spread of COVID-19 caused a world-wide pandemic. As a result all schools and businesses where forced to shut down causing massive job losses. R3 board member Destiny Robin had a burden to serve hot meals to students who would no longer be able to eat due to the pandemic. Thus, the Williams Family Initiative was born and thrust into action!
Over the span of two months more than 5,000 meals where served and delivered to families and elderly in need. The response of help and unity from organizations and individuals alike sparked the flame of what was to come.
Where we are going...
Birthed from the heart of unity and in response to the arising need for genuine Godly community to the individuals served through R3 Student Outreach, the Williams Family Initiative and many of those seeking in our city, Revived Community Church launched August of 2020.
The Vision of Revived Community Church is to be a safe haven that builds genuine community and relationships that allow all people to live in perfect unity. We strive to equip believers to meet the needs of those without hope and share the gospel of Jesus Christ!
